How we work

Most of a good finish happens before the paint goes on, so preparation comes first. We’ll agree access and the order of rooms with you beforehand, and keep disruption to a minimum.

  1. 1Protect

Floors, furniture and fittings are covered or masked before anything else happens.

  2. 2Prepare

Surfaces are washed down, cracks and holes filled and everything sanded. Bare and repaired areas are spot-primed.

  3. 3Paint

Ceilings first, then walls, then woodwork, with the number of coats the surface needs.

  4. 4Clear up

Sheets lifted, the room cleaned down and left ready to use, and a walk-round with you at the end.

Your quote

What it covers Your written quote lists each room or area, the preparation and the finish, so you can see exactly what you’re paying for.

If something extra comes up Sometimes preparation uncovers something nobody could see, such as blown plaster, damp or rotten timber. We stop, show you and price it before doing anything more. Nothing is added to the job without your say-so.
